I helped them maintain comprehensive UI components to optimize the user experience and streamline the design and development process.
Problems
We noticed development process was not so productive as many components were designed and documented in many different Figma files.
Goals
The primary objectives were to increase the design consistency and efficiency. Ultimately improving user experience for sales teams and making resource navigation and utilization more efficient.
Role & responsibilities
As a designer, I collaborate closely with product teams to ensure high quality and consistency.
I helped design components and create documentation, as well as guides for using the design system to ensure its consistent usage.
To ensure the quality of the components, we also conducted internal testing, having frequent chat discussions to maintain and update the use of each component.
Results & takeaways
As a result, we delivered comprehensive documentation and refined UI components on Figma, as well as instructions on how to use it.
The documentation and UI components help the production team in the future development process and ensure its consistency with other internal Dell products.
